Ex Cathedra is a group blog by me (Rev. Bob) and my family and friends.
I’m a retired-but-available software engineer and former YMCA director. I’ve worked on software ranging from network drivers and things with a strong smell of silicon to flight simulators, web-based applications, color and lighting, and 3D modeling and animation. I’m a Democrat and a humanist. I was born in Pittsburgh, I now live in Alabama, and I may give in to my older son’s requests to come to LA. My passions are talking with people and music, and I’ll read anything with print on it – Rev. Bob

Our motto toward the top of the page is by Gloria Steinem. From time to time we’lll write what we each think is the truth, but failing that,we’ll still try to set you free or piss you off. Unlike the people who write most group blogs, our fiercest fights are with each other, but we can fix that: if you’d like to stick an oar in and comment on a post, we’d be glad to hear what you have to say, no matter how wrong it is.
