  • Blogging for LGBT Families

I almost missed it, but thank goodness, not quite. Today is Blogging for LGBT Families Day. Our friends, people we know and admire, people we don’t know or know about yet, have told their story. Some are great parents, some are doing the best they can. Some of the people will flat out say they’re angry and disappointed at the deliberate inequality the worst of us have erected. Most are talking like proud, happy parents. Let’s read those stories because they aren’t “they,” those are our stories. Let’s not welcome them into “our” family, “our” community. Let’s celebrate that we’re all here. Now it’s officially Tuesday. The bloggers celebrating the day have stopped writing. Now we can all start reading. Together.
