Presumptuous

First Obama was an “elitist,” despite having comparatively little to do with the wealth and power elites who are actually running the country.

The latest word the corporate media are slinging at Obama is “presumptuous.”

Does that mean “uppity”?

Just askin’.

Nawww. But Senator McCain is certainly an uppity white man for suggesting that Senator Obama is too inexperienced to lead, while using pictures of 20-something bimbos like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears in his campaign ads to drive home the point.

Yo, Senator McCain. Your opponent is 46 years old, and has probably faced on a daily basis the ignorance and prejudice of people such as yourself all of his life. Try experiencing that kind of torment and see if you’re still as positive about this country as he is. Besides, your own “experience” is primarily that of a career politician, and God knows we need less of those kind of people running the country.

There’s a lot of fear on the right about The End of the Reagan Years. They NEED to portray Obama as being clueless lest they look impotent. It’s all about their overly middle-aged wieners being thought of as being a skosh too small. There’s a lot of barking on the right, but that seems to be only getting through to those who are already “believers.” What Obama is offering up is a different way of doing things. The right wants us to be afraid and dependent on them for our opinions. Obama is talking about us taking some active part in the government. Utter sacrilege!

I heard McCain talk about Obama’s “Audacity of Hopelessness” when he was talking about off-shore oil drilling. It sucks, basically, that this sort of simple minded crap is being bandied about by him. I don’t think McCain is a particularly bad fella but I suspect that he’s had a talkin’ to by his handlers to get negative in a fairly “schoolyard” fashion. It’s straight out of the Neocon playbook.

And this is what has passed for political discourse for the last 8 years. Slander, insults and accusations of a lack of patriotism if ‘you are not of the body.’ Not to mention the endless promotion of fear. By comparison, Obama is playing a symphony…while McCain is still plying the Neocon technique of simply stimulating the rhythm section.

I’ll take Mozart over Keith Moon any day.

Or maybe Mozart vs Meg White?

Meg White, the greatest drummer in the history of rock.

    What?

One good thing to come out of McMaverick’s campaign: hey, free tire gauge.

Actually, we won’t use it. We had one of the good kind but the battery died. Any manufacturer who can’t figure out that there might be potential energy in inflated or semi-inflated tires needs to be sent back to school.
