Bob230, a pseudonymous conservative here in North Alabama claimed to be serving in Afghanistan and swore they weren’t drawing down forces and sending them to Iraq. Probabilities suggest that he wasn’t just lying about Afghanistan, he was just another Yellow Elephant and never served anywhere. He may not even live in North Alabama.

My son Robert told me why last night: the Justice Department is stuffed full of smart lawyers who gave up potentially lucrative careers because they were born to be prosecutors. They’re furious that Ashcroft, Gonzales, and Mukasey called them off of the biggest crimes of their generation, the crimes of the Bush administration. We’re seeing what happens when all that pent up urge to nail the bad guys gets released.

He expects to see a lot of memos and investigation reports popping out of bottom drawers and hitting the street.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Madam President, it is a pleasure to welcome you back to the Oval Office. We have just had a very constructive dialogue. First, I want to tell you how proud I am to be the President of a nation that — in which there’s a lot of Philippine-Americans. They love America and they love their heritage. And I reminded the President that I am reminded of the great talent of the — of our Philippine-Americans when I eat dinner at the White House. (Laughter.)….
PRESIDENT BUSH: And the chef is a great person and a really good cook, by the way, Madam President.

Makes you proud to be an American.

Well,be thankful he didn’t grope her.
